Holiday Supplements

A holiday supplement will apply for Easter weekend, Friday Saturday and Sunday ,Christmas 24th, 25th, 26th and 31st Dec and 1st Jan

The rate for Resident adults  KSHS. 2,000 &  Resident children KSHS.1, 500 per person per night.

Whereas the NON-Resident Adults will be $30 & Non Resident children $20 per person per night.

A Child 3 years to 12 years sharing with 2 adults pays 50% of half twin rate.

A Child 3 years to 12 years sharing with 1 adult in a room pays 75% of per adult rate.

Single Entry Visa

Validity

A single entry visa is valid for 3 months before you travel. Present yourself to immigration control at the port of entry, you may be issued with a stay period not exceeding 90 days

Renewal

Your stay period may be renewed for a further 90 days at the immigration headquarters in Nairobi. The maximum number of days a visitor may stay in Kenya is 6 months.

Before you travel ensure that you are in possession of the following.

Basic Requirements

1. Valid travel document not less than six months.

2. At least One Blank page in the holders passport.

1. DO NOT take photograph of or scan the photo in your passport.

2. Must be taken within the past 6 months, showing your current appearance.

3. Must be in color.

4. Must show your full face, front view with a plain white or off-white background.

5. Must be taken in normal street attire. Uniforms should NOT BE worn in photographs except religious attire that is worn daily.

6. Do not wear a hat or headgear that obscures the hair or hairline.

7. If you normally wear prescription glasses, a hearing device, wig or similar articles, they should be worn for your picture.

8. Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless you need them for medical reasons. A medical certificate may be required.

Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy

1. Cancel or change an order

The following terms apply to the refund policy when canceling or changing an order

1) Reducing the number of travelers

Refund Policy

100 % of tour cost will be refunded

84-64 days

70% of tour cost will be refunded

63-50 days

50% of tour cost will be refunded

49-29 days

30% of tour cost will be refunded

28-15 days

10% of tour cost will be refunded

14 days or fewer

0% of tour cost will be refunded

All such requests will be dealt with on behalf of the Suppliers concerned. Customers do not have an automatic right of cancellation unless such rights are provided by the individual Suppliers under their Rules and Restrictions. On some occasions Journey Genius cancellation policy will be replaced with individual suppliers and hotels cancellation policy.  

All cancellation & tour modification requests should be emailed to info@journeygeniustravel.com.

Cancellation request emails will not be accepted unless they have a complete, signed and attached “Journey Genius Cancellation Request Form“.

Airline Tickets cancellations

The above cancellation policy is subject to individual airlines. For canceling or changing a flight the airline cancellation policy will come into affect over and above the Journey Genius cancellation policy.

2. Modify an order

Charges to modify an order apply for the following:

1) For requests to add more number of travelers

* Subject to availability

2) For requests to change to a different tour

** Cancellation charges as above will be applicable over & above the modification service fee.

3) For requests to reschedule departure date

* This request will not be accepted if the travel date is within 14 days or lesser.

* Subject to availability 

* Cancellation charges as above will be applicable over & above the modification service fee.

* Subject to airline modification fees if accepted by airline.

4) For requests to change name of passengers. Only Possible if Airline tickets have not been booked. Subject to individual airline policy and the airlines fees for change of name.

3. Notes

1) We recommend all our passengers to avail “Travel Insurance” to protect themselves against personal / natural / man made exigencies of all kind (including medical & family emergencies, accidents, flight delays, traffic delays, theft or personal- acts of terrorism, natural calamities etc.) that may affect you from participating in our tours (OR) arise while on tour.

2) Journey Genius will take no responsibility for matters as stated above under personnel / natural / man made exigencies.

3) All cancellation & tour modification requests should be emailed to info@journeygeniustravel.com.

4) We will not accept any cancellation / modification requests made through local tour provider / tour guide (OR) verbal requests made over the phone to our customer support staff / by voice mail
